Questgen: $5K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
AI-powered quiz and FAQ generator
Questgen operates primarily as an AI-powered quiz generator after being founded in 2019 by Ramsri Goutham Golla.
The service allows users including teachers, schools and HR teams to create quizzes in seconds using AI. After entering the desired text and choosing the type of questions to be included, the customisable quiz is then automatically generated.
In addition, Questgen also features an AI-powered FAQ generator that customers can use to automatically create FAQ sections based on a volume of text.
The service offers a free version which allows users to create 20 quizzes. There is then the Pro option priced at $15 per month or $100 per year, which includes unlimited usage and early access to new features.
Questgen has over 100,000 customers to date, allowing Ramsri - working part-time - to grow the business to $5,000 in monthly recurring revenue.

Sourcely: $5K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
AI-powered academic literature sourcing tool
Sourcely is a literature-sourcing tool powered by AI which was acquired by Dev Shah and Elman Mansimov for $4,000.
With the support of AI, users can save time by pasting their essays into the tool to find and summarise academic sources and relevant tests from over 200 million research papers.
The service can be used for free to generate a source from 300 characters of text. There is then a pay-per-use pricing tier costing $5 for every 2,000 words sourced. Alternatively, customers can pay $9 per month for easy-to-generate credible sources and summaries.
To date, the service has been used by over 10,000 students and is now generating over $5,000 in monthly recurring revenue thanks to more than 400 paying customers.

Quick Creator: $5.8K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
SEO-focused AI-powered blogging platform
Quick Creator is an SEO platform focused on AI blogging that was founded by Tony Yan in 2023.
Created as an alternative to using tools like Copy.ai and SurferSEO alongside WordPress, the service supports users with hosting, a quick editor and creating SEO-optimised content with the help of AI.
The artificial intelligence side of the business suggests article topics based on keyword research, and then generates content outlines along with internal and external links and visual media. Customers can then analyse their new content against Google’s E-E-A-T guidelines.
Pricing for the service starts at $19.90 per month for one blog and ten AI-generated articles, rising to $39.90 for five blogs, 20 AI articles and access for up to 25 team members.
By September 2023 Quick Creator had grown to $1,000 in monthly recurring revenue. Now, with over 20,000 users, the business is generating more than $5,800 in MRR. The aim going forward is to continue this growth beyond $20,000 in monthly revenue.

AudioNotes: $7K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
AI-Based Note-Taking App
AudioNotes is a platform to create text summaries using AI which was launched by Vatsal Sanghvi in 2023.
The tool can convert audio files, voice recordings and text notes into structured content in a style and length of the users choice.
Thanks to integrations with the likes of Zapier, Notion, and WhatsApp, these summaries can then be used for meeting minutes, creating emails or new social media content.
As of December 2023 AudioNotes had more than 5,700 registered users, with 200 paying customers. Prices start at $99 year for the personal pan and $199 for the pro option, with lifetime plans available at double those prices.
Following customer feedback the app was redesigned after August 2023 and new features were added. This resulted in a rise in income, with the site now making over $7,000 per month in recurring revenue.

AI Detect: $8.2K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
AI Content Detection and Rewriting
AI Detect is an AI content detection and humanisation platform which was founded by Jozef Gherman.
The front of the tool is a free AI detection service, and the premium offering is for people interested in writing content that can’t be detected.
With the business claiming a 99% accuracy rate in detecting content created with the likes of ChatGPT, Clause Opus, Google Gemini, and Meta LLaMa, the service is now used by thousands of customers.
A free usage option allows for 50 scans per day looking for basic AI detection. There are then three subscription tiers starting at $9.99/m for 250 “undetectable rewrites”, and up to $24.99/m for 1,000 monthly rewrites.
AI Detect began generating revenue in May 2024, and just five months later it has reached $8,200 in monthly recurring revenue.

CopyGenius: $9.5K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
AI-trained personal copywriter
CopyGenius is a personal AI copywriting service for a large number of writing tasks which was founded in March 2022 by Eric Smith.
Users can select a template to write copy for more than 40 purposes including adverts, articles, blog summaries, emails and product descriptions. After providing some basic details CopyGenius will then generate the content within seconds.
The service also features Genius Editor which is an AI-powered text editor capable of creating content based on the author's writing style.
Users can trial the service for free to generate 500 words of content in over 100 languages. There are then three paid tiers ranging from $19 to $79 per month which allows 40,000 words to be generated on the lower plan, and unlimited on the higher tier.
The business is now achieving $9,500 in monthly recurring revenue, though, this figure has previously reached $14,000 MRR.

Talknotes: $15K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
AI service converting voice notes into content
TalkNotes is a platform to turn voice notes into actionable text which was founded in 2023 by Nicola Jeanne.
The AI-powered service can transcribe and structure voice recordings to be used as content in a large number of ways and in over 50 languages.
Customers can record their voice without worrying about things like structure, pauses or grammar. Then choose a format style from over 100 available such as a blog post, interview transcription, journal entry, meeting notes or task list. The generated content can then be edited and downloaded or published.
The cost for the basic tier is $12 per month or $69 per year to use the service for notes up to 20 minutes long. Alternatively the Pro offering - costing $49 per month - allows dozens of recordings up to 120 minutes long.
The business gained a lot of early traction to validate the service, generating $1,500 in sales just 20 days after launching the product. Fast forward to June 2024 and monthly recurring revenue had jumped to almost $15,000. Just a month later and Nicola shared that due to not being able to give the business the required focus, he sold it for $200,000.

Journalist AI: $32K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
Auto-publishing AI content service
Journalist AI povides a way for businesses to create well-structured and appropriate content, using artificial intelligence. The service, which was founded by Afonso Matos, can produce unique articles in as little as 30 seconds.
These posts can contain images, and tables of content to mimic the look and feel of a human created article. What's more, Journalist AI can replicate a brand's own language and tonality by scraping a business's existing content.
As well as operating in over 150 languages, the tool has also integrated with the likes of WordPress and Zapier to publish content on auto-pilot if required.
Pricing ranges from $39 to $149 per month for the various plans, with 40% discount for annual billing. And to date, Journalist AI has been used by over 11,000 business owners, which has resulted in $32,000 MRR.

Cuppa: $37K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
AI-Powered Content Marketing Suite
Cuppa is an AI-powered content creation and optimisation platform. The business was founded by Ian Nuttall, before quickly selling the project for $9,000 to entrepreneur Chris Riley.
The service enables customers to generate AI-written blog posts, case studies, newsletters, social media posts, ecommerce product descriptions and buying guides. Users can also access an editing and bulk content generation tool.
The business provides four subscription options ranging from $15 to $150 per month, with the higher tiers including additional features and integrations.
Cuppa recently shared with us that they’re now generating $37,000 in monthly revenue. When they had previously shared a $30,000 MRR revenue chart, we estimated they were growing that number by around $1,333 per month.

Magai: $40K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
All-in-one AI platform for content creators
Magai is an all-in-one AI tool which enables users to access 12 different AI tools with a single subscription. The service was founded in 2023 by Dustin Stout.
By using Magai customers can utilise content creation, chat interfaces, saved prompts, web page readers, AI personas and image generators, amongst other features.
Essentially, users can save time and gain the benefits of AI services such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Leonardo without the need to jump to different accounts and services.
Pricing starts at $19 per month for image generation, up to 50,000 words of content and one user. There are six further subscription tiers ranging from $29 to $249 per month, each providing access for additional users, workspaces and higher number of generated words.
The business reached $2,000 in monthly recurring revenue just 42 days after launching. And 12 months on, Magai is generating $40,000 in MRR, with no signs of slowing.

EasyGen: $540K in Annual Recurring Revenue
AI-powered LinkedIn post creator
EasyGen is a LinkedIn post-creation service which was launched in 2024 by Ruben Hassid.
The AI-powered software is designed to help users generate new content for their LinkedIn accounts quickly and easily.
Customers can select an industry to target, a niche within that space, and a topic type. Artificial intelligence then generates a LinkedIn post aimed at capturing the attention of that target audience.
Visitors can test out the service by producing three pieces of LinkedIn content for free. EasyGen then costs $59.99 for additional posts that can be published on the platform.
Ruben shared that just 92 days after launching, EasyGen was already generating over $9,100 in monthly recurring revenue, which grew to $41,500 MRR by November 2024. EasyGen is now generating $540,000 ARR.

Gridly: $3.3M in Funding
supporting the management of digital content
Gridly is a content management and localisation platform which was founded in 2020 by Christoffer Nilsson and Mattias Wennerhold.
The service allows customers to perform global releases and content updates on apps, games or websites in multiple languages with the help of generative AI. Data can be managed from one location, translated using AI to the relevant local language and then synchronized across multiple tech stacks.
To date the team of 50 Gridly staff have worked with more than 100 customers to streamline their digital content workflows.
There is a free version of the software which provides unlimited grids with up to 10,000 records on each. Or, for €35 (~$38) per month customers can receive additional records, file storage and enable more advanced translation options as well as other features.
Whilst we’ve been unable to accurately verify any revenue figures for the business; we do know that Gridly received $2.6 million of funding in April 2024. This takes the total amount of investment into the business to $3.3 million.

Contents.com: $3.6M in Annual Revenue
Generative AI content creation platform
Contents.com operates as an AI-powered content creation platform which was founded by Massimiliano Squillace in 2017.
The service works in more than 25 languages to generate accurate content quickly for use in social media posts, blog articles, product descriptions, audio text conversion and language translation.
Contents.com has been used by a number of huge publishers including the likes of Ikea, billboard and lastminute.com.
The Basic price plan costs $9 per month and includes 2,000 AI credits. There are also Intermediate and Advanced tiers which cost $39 and $99 per month respectively. These include unlimited credits and also integrations with the likes of WordPress and Shopify, with the higher tier also including access to the Contents.com API.
The business shared that they saw a 150% increase in revenue from 2021 to 2022. Annual income has now grown to €3.48 million (~$3.6M.
Contents.com received $18 million in funding in January 2024, taking the total amount of investment to $26 million. This follows on from significant acquisitions made by Contents.com a year earlier when they purchased Italian content marketing platform Scribox, translation company Traduzione.it, and copywriting service Scribeur.com.

Pitch: $4.7M in Annual Revenue
AI-Powered Presentation Creation Software
Pitch is a presentation software platform which aims to allow customers to create presentations quickly and with ease. The business was founded in 2018 by a team of eight, including new CEO Adam Renklint.
Customers can use the AI service to draft presentations from scratch, or use one of the 100+ available templates, and then tweak the content, media, branding, colours and font.
Once created, these presentations can be collaborated on, shared with others and embedded online. Pitch also includes a dashboard that allows users to view presentation analytics including open rates and views.
The platform offers a free version which includes unlimited presentations. Or for $25 per month, customers can create workspace roles, share private folders and use unbranded exports. There is also the option to pay $100 per month for additional users, presentation analytics and password-protected links.
To date, more than 1.7 million teams have used the service, supporting the business in generating €4.4 million (~$4.7M) in annual recurring revenue.

Copyleaks: $7.3M in Funding
AI content and plagiarism checker
Copyleaks is a plagiarism and AI content detection platform which was founded in 2015 by Yehonatan Bitton and Alon Yamin.
The business provides an AI detector for $7.99 per month that highlights AI-generated text and the reason it was flagged. It also offers a plagiarism checker priced at $8.99 monthly that identifies paraphrasing and copyright infringements, as well as a writing assistant for users.
Customers can access both tools for $13.99 per month, and more than 300 companies and 1,000 institutions have used the service to date.
In 2022, Copyleaks raised $6 million in funding, bringing its total investment to $7.3 million.
Whilst we don’t have access to accurate revenue figures for the brand, we know that it increased income by 191% in the first half of 2024 and daily users by 400% in the last financial year.

Jenni AI: $633K in Monthly Recurring Revenue
AI-powered content creation and citation software
Jenni AI is an artificial intelligence powered writing aid which was founded by David Park in 2019.
Although designed specifically for research papers, the service can also be used to create, edit and add citations to articles, blog posts, essays and speeches.
As part of the writing assistance service, the tool can rewrite and generate sentences, as well as create article outlines. The Jenni AI chat assistant also has the functionality to summarise research papers.
There is a free to use version which allows for unlimited PDF uploads, AI autocomplete and 200 words of AI content per day. For $20 per month customers can use the service without limits or restrictions.
By August 2019 Jenni AI had the first paying customers on board and was generating $2,000 in monthly recurring revenue. Fast forward to September 2024 and the business has been used by more than three million writers and is generating $558,300 in MRR. In November this increased to $633,478.

GPTZero: $13.5M in Funding
AI and plagiarism detection software
GPTZero is an AI-content and plagiarism detection platform which was launched by Alex Cui and Edward Tian in January 2023.
The service can determine if a piece of content was created using ChatGPT, GPT-4, Gemini, or new AI models. Relevant AI-created sentences are then highlighted in the dashboard with an explanation as to why they were flagged.
Users can scan 10,000 words of content for free to highlight AI influence and detect plagiarism. There are also three paid subscription tiers, priced from $10 to $23 per month and each offering additional words and features.
To date, GPTZero has been used by more than four million users and generated millions in revenue. In an interview with TechCrunch the founders shared that the business had grown annual recurring revenue by 500% in the first six months of 2024.
In June 2024 the company announced a new $10 million investment, adding to the $3.5 million received in a previous funding round.

Read AI: $81M in Funding
AI-powered content and workflow assistant
Read AI is an AI content creation copilot founded in 2021 by David Shim, Elliott Waldron, and Rob Williams. The trio previously worked together at Foursquare and Snapchat.
The platform can create notes, reports, and transcripts from emails, meetings, audio, and video sources. As well as offering suggestions on workflow optimisation and scheduling.
The service - which is used by 75% of Fortune 500 companies - provides a free-to-use option and three paid plans, each containing an incremental amount of credits and features, ranging from $19.75 to $39.75 per month.
The business raised $50 million in funding in October 2024, following a $21 investment round earlier in the year, bringing the total amount to $81 million.
The financing aims to accelerate the company’s growth, and this certainly seems to have been effective. In the last 12 months, Read AI has seen a 720% increase in active users and now has 100,000 new accounts created each week.
