When we first started writing this report, we covered “hiring” as a whole, so combined our job boards report with this one.

After each report became large enough to stand on its own, it made more sense to separate the two and hope that if you’re in one of these industries (or looking to get into them), you’ll agree.

In this report we're tracking $13.1M in monthly recurring revenue.

A Team Overseas: $60K in Annual Revenue

Matching companies with Phillippines-based assistants

A Team Overseas is a platform for businesses to hire executive assistants based in the Phillippines that was founded by Kevin Galang.

The service matches experienced and vetted assistants with companies based on their specific needs.

The cost to hire an EA is an initial $6,000 and then $1,400 per month for each assistant. Equating to $22,800 per year.

Although still very much a growing business, A Team Overseas have already surpassed $60,000 in annual recurring revenue.

#2

Hirevire: $86K in Annual Revenue

job applicant video screening software

Hirevire is a job candidate screening platform that was founded by Sanat Hedge and Nikhil Kachare in 2022.

The service aims to save recruiters time by replacing traditional telephone screening of applicants with a video alternative.

Hirevire’s software enables companies to create a job listing with an introductory video explaining the role. Those potentially interested in the vacancy can then watch the video in their own time, before responding with their own video featuring answers to any questions asked.

This allows those looking to hire to screen candidates by reviewing the submitted applications, before going on to offer traditional interviews.

Pricing for the service starts at $29 per month for one user, one job and 30 days of video storage. There are two further pricing tiers costing $49 and $99 per month which include unlimited jobs, additional users and up to 90 days of storage.

Hirevire has been used by hundreds of companies to date, and has recently grown monthly income to over $7,000, and in the last 12 months the business has generated $86,300 in revenue.

#3

Movevirtual: $9.3K in Monthly Recurring Revenue

Virtual Assistant Recruitment Platform

Movevirtual is a VA recruitment platform which is one of a number of new businesses founded by Nick in 2023 after leaving his role at Meta.

The business supports companies in cutting their employee costs by sourcing virtual assistants, and then supporting with their onboarding, training, and management.

Prices start at $749 bi-weekly to hire a virtual growth assistant. Rising to $1,249 bi-weekly for designer and marketing assistants. There are also custom packages available from $1,749 for multiple assistant requirements.

For such a young business, it's quite an achievement to see that Movevirtual reached over $23,000 in monthly recurring revenue after consistent months of surpassing $20,000 MRR. Whilst revenue has since fallen to $9,300 MRR as of November 2024, we wouldn't be surprised to see figure rise once again due to the success Nick has with various projects.

Resume Assassin: $288K in Annual Revenue

Resume Writing Service

Resume Assassin is a resume writing service which was founded in 2016 by Mary Southern who is an expert resume writer with more than 12 years experience.

This has since grown again by an additional 20% to $288,000 for 2023 with zero additional financial investment. This increased revenue has been partly attributed to additional exposure including interviews and podcast appearances to showcase the business.

One of the initial aims of the site was to grow to $1 million in total revenue, and by December 2023 Resume Assassin had reached this milestone.

DevSignal: $30K+ in Monthly Revenue

Platform to hire overseas designers and developers

DevSignal supports companies to quickly hire remote designers and developers and was founded in 2023 by Samee Hassan.

Businesses can complete a form to let the DevSignal team know their requirements, and a consultant will then match them with the right developer from their pool of over 1,500 experts within just 24 hours.

Unlike a typical jobs board, all of the overseas developers are hired out by DevSignal. Each individual is pre-vetted and typically costs 40% less than US equivalent workers.

The service has been used by more than 100 startups, who pay $40 per hour on a flexible contract to work with an expert who is fluent in the preferred programming language. Customers can then receive weekly reports and logs.

Samee disclosed earlier in 2023 that the business was achieving over $30,000 per month in revenue. This is some achievement when you consider that less than $600 has been spent on the business in total.

Following on from this DevSignal was actually acquired in January 2024. Whilst no specific number was disclosed, we do know that the sale price was at least six-figures.

#6

Index: $6.2M in Annual Revenue

Platform to hire remote tech talent from all over the world

Index supports tech companies in building their software engineering teams after being founded in 2019.

With the aim of making the recruitment process more streamlined for customers, the service sources experienced developers from all over the world, ensuring each one is assessed and vetted.

The platform also features account managers and artificial intelligence to support recruiting and onboarding the right person to their team before managing billing and payments. Index's full service solution means that tech talent can begin working in a new role with their employer just one week after the job was advertised.

Developers don't pay a fee to use the service and set their own monthly rate. Companies using Index can post jobs for free and then pay a monthly fee based on the tech talents rate and length of the contract.

Typically, companies can save $40,000 per year for each developer by using the platform. This has resulted in over 100 brands using Index, in industries such as eCommerce, finance, gaming, logistics and travel.

In 2022 Index generated €5.8 million (~$6.2M) in annual revenue, a huge increase on the €162,000 (~$173K) reported three years prior.

#10

Zen Educate: $22M in Annual Revenue

Education recruitment platform

Zen Educate is a platform to connect schools with supply teaching staff which was founded in 2017 by Oren Cohen and Slava Kremerman.

After discovering that UK schools spend over £600 million per year directly to temporary staffing agencies, they wanted to create a solution which would save schools millions of pounds in recruitment costs.

Zen Educate was born, operating as an alternative to temporary cover agencies for teachers, assistants and supervisors looking to find work within schools.

The service allows schools to view the relevant profiles of staff that have been both interviewed and vetted before being added to the platform. They can then be booked for a specific vacancy within a matter of minutes, and with up to 50% lower costs than through a typical agency.

Zen Educate recently raised $37 million in funding - taking the total amount of investment in the business beyond $71 million - as they look to double their US offering by hiring over 1,000 educators to address a national teacher shortage.

In 2022 Zen Educate generated more than €20.6 million (~$22.3M) in annual revenue, a huge increase on the €2.9 million (~$3.2M) reached three years prior. With the recent investment and focused expansion within the US, we wouldn't be surprised to see this figure continue to rise.

#11

Jobsity: $27M in Annual Revenue

Nearshore staffing firm supporting U.S companies

Jobsity helps businesses hire and retain Latin American programmers and was founded by Andres Garzon in 2011.

The site aims to find handpicked candidates within various budgets for companies in healthcare, education, finance and banking, SaaS and technology.

Their nearshore top-tier IT experts from over 30 countries operate in US timezones to fully support the businesses they work with. These individuals can fulfill roles such as customer service, data entry, payroll and programming.

The business takes great care with the quality of workers available through the platform, so it’s perhaps not surprising to learn that the average Jobsity staffer stays with the same client for three years.

Jobsity announced in 2022 that they had grown their first half revenue by 67% compared to the previous year, resulting in annual revenue of $27.2 million.

#12

Proxify: €45M in Annual Revenue

supporting companies fill developer vacancies with tech talent

Proxify is a platform which connects top developers worldwide to businesses with tech vacancies that was founded in 2018.

Only 2% of the 20,000 monthly applicants are added to the Proxify network of tech talent following AI shortlisting, coding tests and technical interviewers. There is a team of 25+ "matchers" whose role is to personally align developers with company vacancies based on the specifics of the role, and within just two days.

Employers can also search for the right candidates from a pool of almost 4,000 based on the skills they possess. This can include criteria such as backend developers with Ruby experience, or data engineers who've previously worked with Python.

After finding the right hire, businesses can then expect to pay these pre-vetted developers between £27.90-46.90 (~$35-59) per hour. Which can work out cheaper than permanent local hires.

To date, more than 1,000 companies have used Proxify to support their hiring process, including the likes of EA, Electrolux and Securitas.

The business' growth has been clearly reflected in their recent income. In 2019 Proxify generated €1.69 million (~$1.8M) in annual revenue; by 2022 this had grown significantly to over €20.5 million (~$22M).

More recently, EU Startups reports1 they're generating €45M in annual revenue. We consider them a good source for this, since they had the Proxify CEO speaking at their event.
